A major STS conference will be held on 15 - 17 July, 2013 at the National University of Singapore. They are particularly keen to hear proposals for panels (3-4 papers) but individual papers can also be considered. The deadline for submissions has just been extended to 15 February. The track on Information and Media may be of particular interest to our group.

Teaching: Launch of Information, Society and Culture at Duke

Information, Society & Culture, a theme of Bass Connection, was officially launched at Duke.

"Bass Connections is a new university-wide initiative launched by a $50 million gift from Anne and Robert Bass.  It will provide students with greater exposure to inquiry across the disciplines, partnership with unlikely fellow thinkers, sustained mentorship in teams, and the chance to experience the intersections of the academy and the real world."
